How it all began
Nestled in the beautiful Uncompahgre Valley of Western Colorado, Narrow Gate Gardens is a family-owned flower farm dedicated to growing exceptional iris rhizomes and sharing the timeless beauty of these remarkable plants with gardeners across the country.
What began as a love for flowers has grown into a collection of more than 100 named iris varieties, carefully selected for their beauty, vigor, fragrance, and garden performance. Every rhizome we sell is grown here in Colorado, carefully tended throughout the season, and dug fresh to ensure you receive healthy, planting-ready rhizomes.
We believe gardens should tell a story. Whether you're planting your very first iris or expanding a collection you've nurtured for decades, our goal is to provide varieties that bring joy every spring and continue to multiply for years to come.

During bloom season, we love opening our gardens to visitors, allowing guests to experience thousands of blooms in person before selecting the varieties they want to grow at home.
